Created in 1993, Charlatte America has become the leading U.S. manufacturer of battery powered vehicles used on airport ramps.
Charlatte America provides engineering and technical support for all Charlatte equipment located in North America.
Located in Bluefield, Virginia, the facility produces a wide range of electric and internal combustion powered baggage tractors, belt loaders, and other industrial vehicles. The facility size is 78,000 square feet with complete manufacturing capabilities and technical personnel using Pro/E design software. In addition, there is a custom-built test track located on site to enhance quality control.
Charlatte serves the expanding market for battery powered vehicles by supplying the industry with rugged equipment that is well designed for the demanding airport ramp environment. We serve a business segment that operates virtually non-stop.
Total manufacturing area at all three locations exceeds 250,000 square feet and employs over 100 worldwide.
State of the art computerized manufacturing equipment is utilized and technical personnel use Pro/E design software in all locations.
Charlatte provides a new equipment warranty that is one of the best in the business and we administer it fairly. Charlatte service technicians are available to be dispatched to customer locations anywhere in the world and are generally multi-lingual. We provide in-classroom training at all Charlatte facilities or at our customer's locations as required.
